AFUED Matriculates 4,046 First Sets Of Students As A University

Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) has administered the matriculation oath to 4,046 newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. 

The ceremony, held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, was a significant milestone in the institution’s history.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Akintunde, congratulated the matriculating students, emphasizing the privilege of being part of the university’s esteemed community. 

He highlighted the importance of the matriculation oath, describing it as a legal bond between the students and the university.

Professor Akintunde warned the students against engaging in social vices such as rape, drug abuse, cultism, and examination malpractices, stressing that any student found guilty would face the consequences of being expelled or suspended from the university.

The Acting VC also emphasized the need for the students to complete their course registration within the stipulated timeline, stressing that participation in examinations and academic progress depend on registration.

Professor Akintunde expressed gratitude to members of the University Admissions Committee and Staff of Division of Senate Matters and Admissions for their hard work in ensuring the success of the admission process.

The matriculation ceremony marked a significant milestone for the new students, welcoming them to the AFUED community. 

The Registrar of the university, Mrs. Olufisayo Fakorede, administered the matriculation oath to the students, symbolizing their official entry into the university.
