APC Leaders Unite in Ekiti Central Against Opposition as Bamidele Dismisses ADC Threat

APC leaders has united in Ekiti Central against opposition on Thursday as Senate Leader Michael Opeyemi Bamidele brushed aside worries about the rising sway of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), calling on All Progressives Congress (APC) members to stay united and focused.
After a key party meeting in Ado Ekiti, Bamidele told journalists that talk of divided loyalties among APC ranks is overblown.
He stressed the ruling party’s resilience amid political shifts, saying new platforms like ADC may court members but haven’t dented APC’s core.
“Internal strength and discipline are our biggest weapons against outside pressure,” he said, warning against panic.
Speaking to stakeholders at his Ajilosun office, he insisted unity is essential, as rivals watch for cracks that could undermine the party before major elections.
On primaries, Bamidele vowed transparency and democracy. Aspirants will follow guidelines, with consensus possible but needing ward-level buy-in. Any pushback triggers direct primaries for fairness.
He recalled the unanimous endorsement at his December 2025 country home meeting in Ekiti Central, calling it a humbling show of trust.
Bamidele pledged to earn it through service, spotlighting projects like roads, solar streetlights, education aid, healthcare upgrades, Ekiti State University boosts, and the new Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences.
APC State Chairman Sola Elesin Omoleye pushed for grassroots mobilization ahead of the governorship race. Secretary to the State Government Professor Habibat Omolara Adubiaro hailed Ekiti Central as a solid bloc. Other leaders vowed loyalty.
