APC To Re-introduce, Re-integrate Fresh Workforce Into Osun Civil Service – Oyebamiji’s Running Mate

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, says the party will re-introduce and re-integrate a fresh workforce into the state civil service if elected in the August 15 governorship poll.

Adereti disclosed this on Friday while featuring as a guest at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Guest Platform held at the NUJ Press Centre, Osogbo, where he unveiled the party’s development blueprint for the state.

The platform was created by the NUJ leadership to provide an opportunity for candidates and political stakeholders to engage journalists and the public on their vision for the state.

Speaking at the event, Adereti, a project management expert, said the incoming administration of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, will run a “reality government” that will depart from cosmetic governance to effective, result-oriented leadership.

He assured that the administration will prioritize workers’ welfare and inclusivity, noting that Oyebamiji has pledged to revitalize the civil service through the injection of fresh hands.

According to him, the AMBO administration will unlock Osun’s economic potential through an agricultural revolution anchored on mechanization, training and funding for farmers. He also listed comprehensive overhaul of the healthcare system, youth empowerment, sports development and technology-driven job creation as key priorities.

On his nomination as running mate, Adereti said his track record as a project management expert is an added advantage, while his Ife heritage remains a significant asset to the ticket. He noted that his background, combined with Oyebamiji’s global experience as a financial management expert, forms a formidable partnership for the state.

He cited Oyebamiji’s track record at Lameco NNPC and the construction of the OSICOM Secretariat as Chairman of the Osun State Investment Company, OSICOL, as proof of his capacity to deliver.

Drawing a comparison with the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Accord Party, Prince Kola Adewusi, who also hails from Ife, Adereti said while his opponent is perceived in Ife as ‘Kose’se’ meaning “nothing is working,” he is known as ‘Otise’se’ meaning “it is now working.”

He expressed confidence that his pedigree and reputation for effectiveness will give the APC a distinct advantage at the polls.
