Bamidele Olumilua University Set For Maiden Convocation Ceremony

The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere-Ekiti is set to hold its maiden convocation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s history.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Victor Adeoluwa, the ceremony will feature the celebration of academic excellence and achievements of the university’s graduating students.

Professor Adeoluwa revealed further that a total of 1,109 students will be graduating, with 38 in first class, 425 in second class upper, 586 in second class lower, and 60 in third class.

He explained how the University has been able to achieve several milestones since its establishment in 2020, with the accreditation of 45 programs, the establishment of a radio station, and the creation of a Technology Hub on the campus.

The University has also received several awards, including the Africa Outstanding University of Education for Year 2023.

The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, who doubled as the Institution’s Visitor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his support and commitment to the growth of the University.

He also thanked the Pro-Chancellor, Chief Wole Olanipekun, for his philanthropic gestures, including the donation of a state-of-the-art Senate Building.

The convocation ceremony will take place from March 3 to 9, 2025, and will feature several activities, including a convocation lecture, the conferment of honorary doctorate degrees, and a thanksgiving service.
