BOUESTI Holds First Inaugural Lecture On Food Economics August 19th

The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, BOUESTI, is set to host the first inaugural lecture which centres on food economics specifically titled: “Harvesting Prosperity: The Power of Sustainable Food Economics in Nigeria” on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

The lecture, to be delivered by Professor Oluyede Adeleke Aturamu, a renowned expert in the field, will take place at the Pre-Degree Lecture Theatre, starting at 2 pm as guests are expected to be seated by 1:30 pm.

Details made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, revealed that the lecture is aimed at exploring the potential of sustainable food economics in driving prosperity in Nigeria. Professor Aturamu’s vast experience and expertise in the field made him an ideal choice to deliver the first inaugural lecture for the Institution.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor O.V. Adeoluwa, on behalf of the Governing Council and Senate, cordially invites members of the academic community, stakeholders, and the general public to attend this significant event.

This inaugural lecture promises to be a thought-provoking discussion on the importance of sustainable food economics in Nigeria’s development.
