Ekiti 2026: Accredited Journalists to Get Election Tags from Monday, Says NUJ

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, will commence distribution of election tags and other key materials to accredited journalists ahead of the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti State. 

Distribution begins Monday at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Secretariat located at the Old Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti. The exercise will run daily from 9 a.m.

Chairman of the NUJ Ekiti State Council, Kayode Babatuyi, disclosed this in a statement, noting that INEC officials and members of the NUJ Task Force will oversee the process. The aim is to ensure that only duly accredited and qualified journalists receive the materials.
