The Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, has received the title of the Grand Patron of the Union of Tipper, Supplier and Quarry Employers of Nigeria (UTSQEN), Ekiti State Chapter.

This recognition came during the union’s quarterly meeting, where Governor Oyebanji’s representatives were in attendance.

In his welcome speech, the State Chairman of the Union of Tipper, Supplier and Quarry Employers of Nigeria, Honourable Banji Adameji, praised Governor Oyebanji’s leadership, citing his impact on road construction, human development, agriculture, and security among others.

Adameji also acknowledged the governor’s efforts in bringing back the youths to agriculture through various his programs.

The Union requested the governor’s assistance in completing their union building, which requires approximately ₦25 million.

He also sought the Governor’s approval for credit facilities and empowerment programs for members.

Speaking further, the Ekiti State Union Chairman, Honorable Adameji appealed for increased security measures along the Ikere/Ise Ekiti Road, where their members have faced threats and attempted kidnappings.

Comrade Otunba Jossy Famuyegun, the General Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government, also expressed the union’s appreciation to Governor Oyebanji’s hard work and dedication to the state’s development.

Famuyegun announced that the union has endorsed Governor Oyebanji for a second term, citing his active leadership and commitment to the state’s growth.

The Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, High Chief Olajide Awe, commended the Union’s contributions to the state’s development and praised Governor Oyebanji’s efforts in supporting the Association.

Awe assured that the government’s plan to assist the Union in line with its requests would be considered.

He revealed that Governor Oyebanji’s administration has been focused on boosting agribusiness, engaging youths in commercial agriculture, and ensuring food security in the state.
