The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ekiti State has urged Christians and Muslim faithfuls to unite and pray for the Country as they observe the Lenten and Ramadan periods.

Mrs. Oluwakemi Akomolede, the Acting State Director of the National Orientation Agency in Ekiti State, made the call, while emphasizing the need to use this sacred period as an opportunity for spiritual upliftment and renewal.

Mrs. Akomolede encouraged everyone to reflect on their mortality, sinfulness, need for repentance, and to engage in acts of charity, kindness, forgiveness, and compassion.

She also prayed that the promises in the holy books should guide everyone through this season, leading to a refreshed and renewed life thereafter.

The NOA boss noted that it is neither coincidence nor mistake that both religions are observing the holy period, known as a period of penitents and forgiveness almost the same time.

She urged all to make good use of the opportunity for the betterment of the State and Country, upholding and displaying national values that define Nigerians as a people.

Mrs. Akomolede prayed that none would missed the rewards of being faithful to God and Allah and the nation.

Her call for unity, love, and prayers is a timely reminder of the importance of coming together in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect, especially during this sacred period.
