The Emure Ekiti Rebirth Agenda and other key community leaders in Emure Ekiti has commissioned a new Polytechnic in the ancient Emure Ekiti to drive development in the local government area just as the Oguntuase Family of Emure Ekiti has released the temporary site for the take off of the Polytechnic.
The commissioning of the temporary for the establishment of the new Polytechnic sited along the Emure / Ise Ekiti road was done on Thursday in the presence of the key leaders of the ancient Emure Ekiti Kingdom.
Speaking at the Commissioning of the new Polytechnic in Emure Ekiti on Thursday, the Traditional Ruler of the town, Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, the Ataiyerobiagogo, Aminmin III, the Elemure of Emure Ekiti, prayed that Emure Ekiti in the present generation will not be backward but continue to move forward.
The Kabiyesi Elemure stated that the name for the Institution, Emure Ekiti Polytechnic has already been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, and the Certificate issued to Emure Ekiti Community.
When asked the actual time for the take off of the Polytechnic, the Kabiyesi Elemure said since the temporary site has been provided with a structure, that the time for commencement can’t be longer than the next academic session for the year 2024.

He described the efforts towards competing with one another in the State by the various towns and cities as necessary step needed for the communities in the State to grow and develop.
Oba Adebayo urged the Emure Ekiti people to buckled up so that they will be able to meet up with the success and achievements of other towns, villages and cities in Ekiti State as a whole.
He advised Emure people to be united and be friendly with those living outside the chores of the community. He added, that the community people living permanently in the town should not be far away from those in the foreign land and who hails from Emure Ekiti.
He also appealed to all the politicians from the town to be united, saying the disunity is the reason why many of the sons and daughters of Emure Ekiti are not prominent in the government of the State.
The Kabiyesi revealed further that a fund raising event of a sum of N100 million will take place on Saturday for the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic project.
According to the Kabiyesi Elemure, he said, dignitaries like the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji; the Deji of Akure, politicians, Senators, House of Representatives members, State Assembly members, government officials and business men and women are being expected at the Saturday event.

Also, speaking with Treasure Newspaper after the commissioning of the temporary site of the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic on Thursday, the Chairman of the Steering Committee on Emure Ekiti Polytechnic, High Chief Olukayode Ogundeji said the commissioning of the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic is a historic one. He assured that the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic has come to stay, promising to continue to work to ensure the realization of the project.
As the Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Polytechnic, we are already mobilizing the well to do in our society to storm Emure Ekiti on Saturday to donate handsomely for the Institution to kick off in earnest.
High Chief Ogundeji went further to revealed that the leadership of the Emure Ekiti Kingdom is at the verge of concluding arrangements on where the permanent site for the Polytechnic will be located. “Already, about 56 plots have been donated out of the total of 156 plots needed for the permanent site for the Polytechnic”.
He enjoined all the sons and daughters of Emure Ekiti to join hands together and ensure the community is able to raise enough money for the full take off of the Polytechnic.
He also appealed to the Ekiti State Government to come to the aid of Emure Ekiti Community to see to the realization of the goal by ensuring that the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic comes to reality.
In his own remarks, the Coordinator of Emure Ekiti Rebirth Agenda, Mr Lanre Owoeye, while speaking with Treasure Newspaper, said the commissioning of the temporary site for the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic is a dream of his group being fulfilled.
Owoeye explained that the Emure Ekiti Rebirth Agenda group is already working on the resumption of the Institution as soon as the National Board For Technical Education, NBTE, approves the license for the School. “Already, several donations have been raked in for the Polytechnic project and more are still been expected to come in on Saturday during the Funds Raising event”.

Also, the former Vice Chairman of Emure Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Titi Oguntuase while speaking at the venue of the Commissioning said the temporary site for the Polytechnic was established by her and husband as a private school some years back.
She however used the opportunity of the commissioning to formally announced the release of the property from the Oguntuase Family in Emure Ekiti for the Community to use as a temporary site for the Polytechnic.
The Chairman of the Planning Committee for the Commissioning of the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic temporary site, Professor Bamitale Ayibiowo, a senior lecturer at the Federal University of Technology in Akure, while giving her vote of thanks, thanked all the community leaders for finding time to witness the historic Commissioning of the first Emure Ekiti Polytechnic.
Present at the commissioning of the temporary site for the Emure Ekiti Polytechnic includes Professor Abel Ibidapo, the President of Emure Progressive Association; Market Women, Youths and some troupes from the Emure Ekiti Community.
