Falana Bags TopShot Magazine Female Icon Leadership Award

Chief Mrs Olamide Falana, the Special Advised to the Ondo State Governor on Gender Matters, has bagged the TopShot Magazine Female Icon Leadership Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions and doggedness towards the cause of women in the State.

In a press release signed and sent to the  Treasure Newspaper on Monday morning, the Press Officer in the Office of Gender Matters, Debbie Funmilayo revealed that the 5th anniversary of TopShot Magazine and award ceremony took place at Dejavu Hotel, Alagbaka Akure with the theme “Strategies for Enhancing Growth of MSMEs in Ondo State”. 

Speaking with newsmen after the event, Chief Falana commended the Publisher Mrs. Ngozi Aduloju for her hardwork over the years and expressed her appreciation to the organizers for the honor, while she gave the assurance to do more. 

“This award is a spur for me to do more having being identified for such a significant title on this day; I appreciate the Publisher of TopShot Magazine and I promise to keep doing more of what got me into the spotlight so that more results can be achieved”.

Earlier, the host and Publisher of TopShot Magazine, Mrs. Aduloju while giving her address said it had been a journey of faith, perseverance and commitment even as she mentioned that the purpose of the gathering was to bring together tested and trusted individuals that had made their mark positively, in the State.

Mrs. Aduloju further congratulated the recipients and said “Today’s conferment of award is indeed a homecoming for all the awardees and I am happy TopShot has erected a brand for itself worthy to be identified with”.

Guest Lecturer and Chairman of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Prince Temitope Olu-Adeyemi, delivering his lecture highlighted indicative challenges facing the MSMEs and possible solutions, which he said, if implemented, could impact positively on the industry. 

“The growth and development of MSMEs in Ondo State require concerted efforts from government, private sector and MSMEs as a whole; Implementation of the strategies and enactment of supportive policies would foster capacity building and skill development for a more friendly ecosystem that would enhance market access and promotions; Let’s work together to empower the industry for a more prosperous future for Ondo State”, he said. 

Attendance at the event includes the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olayide Adelami, as the Special Guest of honour while other distinguished personalities awarded at the event for their achievements and unwavering dedication to the development of the society were: Barrister Muyiwa Adu known as Cubana, Princess Omowumi Olatunji, Mrs. Toyin Adegbenro and Honourable Tunde Adeleye. 

Other includes the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engineer  Razaq Obe; Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Prince Boye Ologbese; the State Chairman of TAMPAN, Mr. Ayoade Aderemi; Oba Adefehinti Aderemi J. P, Alara of Ilara-Mokin; High Chief Adebisi Abraham, Alaja of Okeagbe; High Chief Abiodun Adejo, Odole of Akure among others.

High point of the event was the Topshot Magazine launch segment and conferment of awards to the recipients.
