Former Ekiti Commissioner, Ambassador Hails Senator Bamidele For Facilitating Federal University To Iyin Ekiti

A former Commissioner for Education and Nigeria Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dr Eniola Ajayi has hailed the current Nigerian Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele for facilitating a new Federal University to his Country Home of Iyin Ekiti, in Ekiti State.

The Iyin Ekiti born former Commissioner and Ambassador, Dr Eniola Ajayi in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, expressed her delight to see that Iyin Ekiti has now officially becomes home to the newly established Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences.

She described the development as a milestone marking a significant turning point for the Iyin Ekiti, thereby catapulting it to the global stage and transforming its status from a town to a city overnight.

She went on to described the establishment of the university as an opportunity to revolutionize the commercial landscape of Iyin Ekiti and its surrounding areas, ushering in unprecedented development and growth. 

As a former Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, and Commissioner for Environment in Ekiti State, Ambassador Dr. Eniola Ajayi expressed her excitement and deep appreciation for this groundbreaking achievement.

Ambassador Ajayi praised the choice of the Vice Chancellor, highlighting his exceptional character, competence, and experience as a former Deputy Vice Chancellor at Ekiti State University. The swift appointment of other principal officers is also seen as a positive indication of the university’s rapid development.
