Four Kidnap Victims Rescued In Benue By Police

A total of four people have been rescued in Benue State by the officers of the Benue State Police Command from the hands of there kidnappers. 

Informations about the victims rescued was on Tuesday, through a press release signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Benue State Police Command, SP Anene Sewuese Catherine made public.

According to the Police PRO for the Benue State Police Command, SP Anene Sewuese Catherine, she revealed that, following a report of four person’s kidnapped on 23/09/2022 along Ijegwu-Opirikwu road, Odiapa Council Ward of Obi Local Government Area, a team of police officers in collaboration with other security agents were deployed for rescue operation.

She added that, on 25/09/2022 at about 2230hrs, after serious pressure mounted on the kidnappers, they abandoned the victims and escaped to a near by forest.

SP Anene told Treasure Newspaper that the victims were been rescued and have since been reunited with their families.

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, CP. Wale Abass has deployed more tactical teams to the area to checkmate activities of hoodlums. He has advised that members of the community to always volunteer useful information to the police on crime operations within the area.
