I Live Separately From Husband – Sola Allyson, Popular Nigerian Gospel Singer

The popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sola Allyson has made it public that she is presently living separately with her husband. 

Sola Allyson, while speaking on the Oyinmomo podcast on Saturday, said though she remains married, herself and husband lives in separate houses, declaring that she has never found joy in marriage. 

She used the opportunity to correct the general impression and believe that she is a gospel artiste, thereby declaring that she is not a gospel artiste. 

Speaking on the Oyinmomo Podcast, Allyson said marriage has been tough for her, adding that she has never enjoyed the kind of happiness many people describe.

“I must confess that I am married, but my husband and I decided to live apart; he in his house and I in mine,” she said.

“Marriage has been a big challenge. I hear people talk about joy in marriage, but I have never experienced it.”

Allyson explained that despite her efforts, the marriage has “not been successful.”

She also clarified that she is not a gospel musician, noting that people often assume she is one because of the style of her music.

“I am not a gospel singer. My name is Sola Allyson,” she said. “Jesus does not need promotion, so I do not have to call His name in every song.”
