Innovating Food Security: Professor Raji Unveils Power Of e-ORACLE

The University of Ibadan hosted its 572nd Inaugural Lecture on January 9, 2025, featuring renowned scholar Professor Abdulganiy Olayinka Raji on the topic “Consulting e-ORACLE For Food Security and Sustainability,”.

Professor Raji’s lecture provided a unique perspective, offering “a peep into the inner parts of food” to shed light on this critical issue.

Professor Abdulganiy emphasized that his lecture does not intend to discuss religious, traditional, or cultural beliefs. Instead, he focused on presenting emerging technological oracles, known as e-oracles, which he utilized in his research work.

During his lecture, Professor Raji elaborated on the key concepts behind electronic oracles and provided in-depth insights into food security and sustainability. He defines food sustainability as “the production of food in ways that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” He also explained the methods and tools for Oracular Consultations.

Overall, Professor Raji’s lecture provides valuable insights into the application of e-oracles in ensuring food security and sustainability, highlighting the potential for innovative solutions to address this critical global challenge and also a need to improve the hygienic conditions under which foods are processed and packaged.
