Mater Christi At 25: Students Trill Spectators With Drama, Cultural Dance

The activities marking the 25th anniversary and establishment of Matter Christi Catholic Girls High School, Igede-Ekiti on Wednesday begins with a special drama to entertain staff, parents and students of the school.

The secondary school created on 29th of September 1997, also witnessed special cultural display apparently to entertain guess as part of activities marking the celebration of the silver jubilee of the school.

The special drama act to demonstrate the history of the School and how it was  established by the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti.

Speaking during the drama presentation, the Senior Prefect of the school, Miss  Oluwatoyin Fasina, described the presentation of the drama as one of the activities line up for the week-longed  activities.

“The students has performed excellently and there are more interesting programme which is slated for the grand finale of the programme”.

“Today, the programme is well detailed and enrich in cultural activities from the three tribes in Nigeria. The school is highly disciplined. Every student abides by the rules and regulations of the school. They observe modes of prayers; which are; Angelus, Holy Mass’ Prayer, Catechism classes and Moral instructions” he stated. 

He admonished the Students to continue to obey the rules and regulations of the school and always contribute to the development of the school. 

The event held at the auditorium of the school was attended by students, teachers and parents of the school. It was also featured activities like prayers and holy mass.
