Olayinka Congratulates Fatoba, Bamidele; Rallies APC For June 20 Polls

An aspirant in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Federal House of Representatives in Ekiti State, Dr. Yemi Olayinka, has congratulated Sola Fatoba on his victory in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I.

In a statement issued on Sunday evening in Ado-Ekiti and personally signed by him, Olayinka said he accepted the outcome as declared by party officials, describing himself as a democrat and loyal party member.

“I hereby congratulate Hon. Sola Fatoba for his victory in the keenly contested primary election in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I. I also appreciate other contestants, especially Architect Tope Ogunleye and Hon. Sunday Ola — you are all heroes,” the statement read.

Olayinka further commended the people of Ekiti Central Senatorial District for the assive, unopposed support given to Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele to continue his work in the National Assembly as Senate Leader.

“At this juncture, let us put the election behind us and support our dear party, APC, with the same vigor we showed during the primary. I believe in this democracy. I believe in our party. I believe we can do better in unison. Let us embrace peace and work hard for victory in the June 20 election,” he added.

He also thanked President Bola Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and the APC National Executive Committee for overseeing a peaceful primary election.

Olayinka pledged his full support for Governor Oyebanji ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
