Ondo, Ekiti Governor’s Felicitates With Tinubu On 72nd Birthday

The Governor’s of Ondo and Ekiti States, His Excellencies, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the attainment and celebrations of his 72nd birthday.

The Chief Press Secretaries of the two Governor’s, Mr Ebenezer Adesiyan (Ondo) and Yinka Oyebode (Ekiti) in a separate press releases issued and sent to media houses on Thursday (Ekiti) and Friday (Ondo), congratulated Mr President for witnessing another birthday. 

Adesiyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor in his own press release, said it is no coincidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu shares the same birth month with the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, former Premier of the Western Region and one of the foremost thinkers and political leaders Nigeria has ever had in its chequered history. 

Adesiyan revealed that aside from sharing the same birth month with Chief Awolowo, described President Tinubu as an incurable subscriber and executioner of progressive politics meant for the advancement of mankind and the society at large.

As our leader, I am in awe of your uncanny ability to take bold decisions in the overall interest of the people and live with the consequences that may come off thereafter without caving in under pressure.

The Ondo State Governor commended the President for providing good leadership for the country at these trying times and the stability he has brought despite the myriad of challenges to further validate the litany of stellar achievements he recorded when he governed Lagos between 1999 and 2007.

On his own part, the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji described President Tinubu as a special and remarkable gift to Nigeria and a man of history whose impact, over the years,  has helped shape democracy in the country.

He said President Tinubu’s 72nd birthday offers an opportunity to celebrate a life that is dedicated to the service of fatherland and humanity in general. This, he said, is in addition to thanking God for giving Nigeria a man of courage as its leader at a critical time like this.

Governor Oyebanji adding, said President Tinubu is an uncommon statesman who sacrificed his all by opting to be an opposition leader at the height of military dictatorship in the country and fighting with other patriotic leaders to ensure the restoration of democracy to Nigeria.

According to him, President Tinubu is a consistent politician who understands the game of politics and intricacies of leadership which he sees as an opportunity to touch the lives of the masses. 

He also described the nation’s leader as “the most prepared President ever” by his evolution as a freedom fighter, a pro-democracy activist, a legislator, a governor and an opposition leader who transited to the Presidency to crown a stellar political career.

Hailing the President’s decision not to mark his birthday with any form of celebration this year in view of the mood of the nation, Governor Oyebanji said the President’s action is a reflection of his selflessness and sensitivity as a true leader of the people.

Governor Oyebanji assured President Tinubu that the government and people of Ekiti State would continue to support his administration even as they wish him a happy birthday and more years of bliss and impact.
