Ondo Government Warns Marketers Against Fuel Hoarding, Price Inflation

The Commissioner for Information and  Orientation, Mr Wale Akinlosotu speaking on behalf of the Ondo State Government has warned the petroleum marketers against hoarding fuel or inflating its costs in the State. 

The Honourable Commissioner also called on Media outfits to collaborate with his Ministry and the state government for the betterment of society as well as enhancing peace and good governance in the State.

Akinlosotu gave the charge on Thursday while featuring on a live Radio programme tilted: “Oro To Nlo” on Fresh 102.9FM in Akure, saying the Governor has directed the Taskforce on Petroleum Price Monitoring on the need to warn owners of petrol stations across the state, against hoarding petroleum products thereby creating artificial scarcity. 

Fielding questions on the current hardship in the country, the Commissioner pleaded for patience on the part of citizens and residents of the state, adding that the Governor Aiyedatiwa-led administration in Ondo State will not tolerate acts of indiscipline. 

He then tasked marketers to be empathetic in their pricing of petroleum products, reminding them of the already harsh economic situation on members of the public.

Akinlosotu used the opportunity to assure citizens of better days ahead, noting that despite the current electioneering period, governance will not suffer.
