Shettima, APC Governors, Party Leaders to Storm Ekiti for Oyebanji’s Grand Finale Mega Rally

Ado-Ekiti is set for one of its biggest political gatherings as Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC governors, National Assembly members, ministers, and top party leaders would converge on the state capital on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, for the grand finale mega rally of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign, according to Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, Director, Media and Communication, Ekiti APC 2026 Governorship Election Campaign Council.

The rally, holding at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, New Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, from 11:00 a.m., caps a statewide grassroots campaign that covered all 16 local government areas. Party officials say it will be one of the largest political events in Ekiti’s history.

The event follows endorsements from traditional rulers, market groups, artisans, youths, women, civil servants, retirees, religious leaders, and stakeholders across party lines. 

Organizers say the turnout of APC heavyweights shows the party’s confidence in Oyebanji’s performance and his chances of securing a second term.

Since assuming office, Oyebanji has been praised for projects in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security, youth empowerment, and tourism. His administration’s inclusive style and focus on welfare have been cited as key reasons for his broad support base.

The BAO Election Campaign Council described the rally as both a celebration of achievements and a show of unity. “Ekiti people are determined to consolidate on the remarkable gains of the last four years,” said Olatunbosun. “This rally will prove the mandate to continue the progress agenda cuts across all divides.”

The Council urged APC members and supporters to turn out in large numbers, assuring participants of tight security and orderly logistics. Attendees were also advised to comply with all security and traffic directives.
