UBA Makes Clarifications On Fire Incident News 

… Assures Public Of Safety Of Staff, Customers

The Group Head, Media and External Relations in the United Bank for Africa, UBA, Mr Ramon Nasir has officially cleared the air regarding the occurrence of a fire outbreak which took place at one of its branches.

In a statement made available to the media on Tuesday, Mr Ramon Nasir explained that the said fire outbreak did not take place at its head office, located at the UBA House in Marina, Lagos State. 

He revealed that the fire outbreak only took place at a building on Broad Street, in Lagos Island, which housed one of its numerous branches in the Island.

He however assured that the safety and well-being of its staff and customers have been guaranteed in the said building. 

Adding, he also urged the public to disregard the news already in circulation speculating that the said fire break took place at its head office.
