In a powerful lecture delivered during the 2025 distinguished personality lecture event held at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife yesterday, His Excellency Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja has issued a passionate call to Nigerians to come together and rebuild the nation.

He made the call while giving a lecture, titled “The Nigeria Of Our Dreams,” with a clarion call to Nigerians to rise above the challenges facing the country and work towards a brighter future.

Wike lamented the state of the nation, citing the prevalence of corruption, mediocrity, and insecurity.

He noted that Nigeria’s potential has been hindered by bad leadership, poor governance, and a lack of vision.

However, he expressed optimism that with collective effort, Nigerians can overcome these challenges and build a better future.

The Minister emphasized the importance of unity, diversity, and inclusivity in building a strong and prosperous Nigeria.

He called for a cultural renaissance and moral rebirth, stressing the need for Nigerians to rediscover their values and principles.

Wike also highlighted the need for strong institutions, quality education, and economic prosperity.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that it has shown promise in addressing some of the country’s challenges.

The lecture was well-received by the audience, who appreciated Wike’s passion and vision for a better Nigeria. As the country continues to grapple with various challenges, Wike’s call to action serves as a reminder that collective effort and determination can lead to a brighter future for all Nigerians.
