According to Dr Adenegan, he said, “the event was the first of its kind in the history of Churches in Nigeria, pointing out that it is aimed to inspire youths to achieve academic excellence”.

Dr. Adenegan, who also graduated with a first-class degree in Mathematics in 2003, emphasized the importance of encouraging male students to excel academically, noting that in recent times, female students have dominated the list of best graduating students in Nigerian institutions.

The beneficiaries included Afolabi Oyindamola (Physiotherapy, University of Ibadan), Akingbeni David (Industrial Chemistry, Federal University of Technology, Akure), Akinbani Oluwafemi (Linguistics, Adekunle Ajasin University), and Makinwa Blessing (Community Health, Ondo State College of Health Sciences).

Additionally, Professor Mrs. Duyile and Professor Mrs. Bridget Awosika also presented cash gifts of N10,000 each to the three female first-class graduates.
