Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, announced on Wednesday the passing of Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi, a PDP member and the Caretaker Chairman of Ede North Local Government.
The Governor expressed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God would grant them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
The governor, through his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, in sla statement, “The sudden death of Alhaji Oyekanmi is devastating, not only to his family but also to Osun State, particularly Ede North Local Government, which has lost a trusted hand in delivering good governance.”

“My heartfelt condolences go out to his immediate family, the people of Ede North, the PDP family, and everyone touched by his demise.
It is my prayer that Almighty Allah comforts his family and loved ones and gives them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
“Alhaji Jimoh was a politician with a purpose, always prioritising the good of all above his personal interests in every situation.
During the struggle for the enthronement of the Imole government, Alhaji Jimoh showed discipline and made unimaginable sacrifices.”
“Alhaji Jimoh was a long-time member of the Adeleke political dynasty, but he meant much more to me. He was loyal to a fault and reliable, no matter the circumstances.”

Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Cooperative and Empowerment Hon. Durojaye Isaac has commemorate with the family of the deceased over the death of Alhaji Jimoh Oyekanmi, describing his death as devastating and rude shock to the entire Ede North and the State.

He said the late council boss is a refined gentle man, who had contributed to the development of his community and humanity while as council Chairman and PDP stalwart in the State.
The Special Adviser said the huge gap left by the deceased would be difficult to fill. He prayed God to give the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
