Benue Police Command Arrests Suspected Armed Robbers, Drug Dealers, Cultists

Some groups of suspected armed robbers, drug dealers and cultists have been arrested by the Benue State Police Command of the Nigerian Police Force.

Breaking the news of the arrests to the public on Wednesday through a press release signed and sent to the Treasure Newspaper by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Benue State Police Command, SP Anene Sewuese Catherine, stated that the suspects were arrested following an intelligence gathered about a 3-man gang robbing members of the public at the Wurukum, North band and Modern Market area of Makurdi metropolis.

Unfortunately for the criminal suspects, on the 26/8/2022 at about 1600 hours, the said suspects, Fanen Wever, Philip Adanyi aka Baron and Albert Akor aka J-Boy all male of no fixed address were arrested at their hideout, within Logo 1 Wurukum, Makurdi.

Items recovered from them includes one (1) locally made pistol loaded with three (3) rounds of live ammunition, wraps of weed, suspected to be Indian hemp, assorted illicit drugs and charms.

The suspects upon interrogation confessed to the crimes and will be charged to the court as soon as investigation is concluded on them.
