The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Professor Adenike Oladiji has hailed the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of a Teaching Hospital for the Federal Institution.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji made the remarks and expressed her appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while giving her final address during the conferment of the awards of Postgraduates, Masters and PhD’s totaling 1,280 graduands at the main auditorium of the University on Saturday.
In the words of the female Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure; Professor Oladiji, she expressed her profound gratitude to the Visitor, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for allowing the various interventions in the University through several agencies of the Federal Government, among which is his support towards the immediate take off of the FUTA Teaching Hospital in Akure.
Adding, Professor Oladiji described the support of the President for the take-off of FUTA Teaching Hospital in Akure as highly commendable and encouraging. She also appreciated the support of the Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on the noble project which gladdens the heart of many.
Speaking after the conferment of Postgraduates, Masters and PhD’s, at the 34th and 35th convocation ceremonies of the Federal Institution in Akure, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, represented by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, called on the graduating students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure to embrace patriotism and use their acquired skills to contribute to Nigeria’s growth.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his speech, congratulated the graduating students for their hard work and perseverance, emphasizing the need for the issues of Education to take the front burner in their quest to ensure a thorough national development.
He used the opportunity to assure the stakeholders in the only formidable Technology oriented University in the Country’s educational sector of his administration’s support and readiness to restore the lost glory of the Institution in no distant time, calling on all to cooperate with him.
Also, addressing the 34th and 35th convocation ceremony of FUTA, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, congratulated the graduands, commending their perseverance and dedication which culminate into their academic success.

Governor Aiyedatiwa in his goodwill message lauded FUTA’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, and the University management for their exceptional contributions to education, research and technological innovations.
The Governor also commended the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji for turning FUTA into a world class institution with glamour, and several other graduates the University has consistently produced, thereby serving as a testament with resilience and commitment to excellence.
He however promised the University community of a continued collaboration and an enabling environment to promote academic development and innovation.

Speaking on behalf of the three honorary award recipients, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Professor Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, who received an honorary Doctoral Degree in Management Science from the Federal University of Technology, Akure described the award as a symbolic one, narrated how his entire family became born again during a crusade organized by the Late Prophet Obadare.
He counselled the 1,280 graduands to remain focused, reflecting on his own educational journey as a child from a poor background whose parents struggled financially to pay his school fees of N60 at the University of Lagos.
