BOUESTI Rolls Out Activities For 2nd Convocation Ceremony

The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI) has rolled out activities for its 2nd Convocation Ceremony started today with the Convocation Press Conference Monday, 13th April and expected to end on the 19th of April, 2026. 

Addressing the newsmen during the Convocation Press Conference held at the Senate Chamber of the Wole Olanipekun Senate building, the Vice Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI), Professor Andrew Babatunde Omojola, said the activities will continue on Tuesday with a football match between male lecturers and male students of the University. 

“On Wednesday, 15th April, 2026; there will be a Students’ Variety Show taking the centre stage side by side the convocation drama designed to showcase creativity within the university community.

“By Thursday, 16th April, 2026; a programme featuring a special gathering for the Alumni Association will hold. Later in the evening of the same day, members of staff will unwind at a reception with the Vice-Chancellor.

During the event, distinguished sons and daughters of the institution will be honoured as Ambassadors in recognition of their contributions.

“On Friday, 17th April, 2026; the University will pay tribute to its former Vice-Chancellor in a morning session. This will be followed in the afternoon by a humanitarian service and other scheduled activities. 

“On Saturday, 18th April, 2026; the convocation ceremony will hold at the Multipurpose Hall of the University where degrees will be formally conferred on the graduating students”.

The week-long programme will end on Sunday, April 19th, 2026 with a thanksgiving service at St. Peter’s Church, offering the university community an opportunity to appreciate God for a successful celebration.
