BOUESTI Signs MoU to Power Campus-Wide Internet Upgrade

Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has entered a new partnership to boost campus internet access after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 3-Ways Communication Company.

The agreement officially kicks off the University’s Smart School Initiative, a project led by 3-Ways Communication Company to expand reliable internet across campus. 

The goal of the MoU is to support online teaching and learning, strengthen research and innovation, and raise digital literacy for both staff and students.

At the signing, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Babatunde Omojola praised 3-Ways Communication for investing in education through better digital infrastructure. 

He said the project would directly improve teaching, learning, and research at BOUESTI, and urged students to take full advantage of the improved connectivity to advance their studies.

3-Ways Communication CEO, Mr. Abiodun Ogunlabi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality internet service throughout the University. 

He added that service capacity would be upgraded regularly to match the growing number of users, noting that the company’s broader vision is to help transform higher institutions into globally connected learning hubs.

Representing students at the ceremony, SUG President Comrade Sanya Ifeoluwa signed the MoU on behalf of the student body. 

He commended University Management for putting student welfare first and creating opportunities that will enrich the academic experience.

The Smart School Initiative is set to accelerate BOUESTI’s digital transformation, supporting the University’s push for academic excellence and greater global competitiveness.
