Ekiti: HOS Meets Accounting Officers, Assures Them Of Government’s Commitment Towards Their Welfare

The Ekiti State Head of Service, Engineer Sunday Komolafe have restated the unwavering commitment of the Biodun Oyebanji’s led administration to the welfare of the Civil servants in the State.

In a press release signed and sent to media houses by Mr Festus Abosede, a Deputy Director of Information in the office of the Head of Service of Ekiti State, stated the above after a scheduled meeting with the accounting officers in the state, comprising body of Permanent Secretaries, Executive Secretaries and General Managers.

The Head of Service hinted that this was clearly demonstrated in the effort of the present administration to further strengthen the civil service for better productivity and building the 21st century civil service by leveraging on ICT as it is presently working on gradual digitization of Government business in order to emplace better probity and efficient service delivery.

Speaking further, he cautioned civil servants who are in the habit of taking leave or traveling outside the country without notice or recourse to the office of the Head of Service, and charging the accounting officers to always maintain decorum in whatever item that is being posted on official social media platforms, noting that only service based or related issues should be entertained in that regard and urged them to always endeavor to attend government programmes as previous attendance were not encouraging.

Responding on behalf of the accounting officers, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr Olusesan Alabi gave the assurances of the accounting officers to always accord Government programmes the priority it deserves going forward.

Presenting the report of his training course at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru near Jos, the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Department, Prince Adeleke Adefolaju lauded the giant strides and visionary leadership of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s led administration.

Adefolaju added, that particularly, in the area of human capital development, local and International training, and infrastructural development as demonstrated in the execution of uninterrupted power supply to government offices through recently commissioned independent power plant ( IPP) project which according to him was one of the recommendations as contained in the modules of the training which enjoined government to harness and optimize the utilization of Nigeria local raw materials, renewable energy and critical mineral resource potentials to enhance industrialization, energy sufficiency and national security.
