The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ekiti State Council, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his victory at the Supreme Court which affirmed his candidacy as the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate.

The apex court dismissed the appeal challenging Oyebanji’s emergence and affirmed the June 18th judgement of the Court of Appeal which had earlier upheld his nomination as the party’s flagbearer.

Reacting to the judgement in a statement signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde, the NLC described the verdict as a victory for democracy, the rule of law and the people of Ekiti State.
