Ogun Police Secures 72 CBT Centres For Hitch-Free 2026 JAMB UTME

The Ogun State Police Command has deployed officers and operational assets across 72 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres statewide to ensure robust security for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) from April 16 to 25, 2026.
This proactive, intelligence-driven strategy guarantees visible policing, early threat detection, and rapid response before, during, and after the exams. Following directives from Commissioner of Police CP Bode Ojajuni, all Area Commanders are on high alert. They must oversee personnel, maintain patrols, and coordinate with Divisional Police Officers, tactical teams, and JAMB officials for seamless operations.
The Command warns that exam malpractice, impersonation, or disorderly conduct will face immediate arrest and prosecution. CP Ojajuni assures residents of comprehensive security coverage and urges candidates to follow guidelines and behave responsibly.

UPDATE ON OPERATION KEEP SAGAMU SAFE:
Further to the April 13 report, of 146 suspects arrested, 29 were found culpable after screening and charged to court on April 15, 2026. The court ordered their remand, with the case adjourned to May 12, 2026. This demonstrates the Command’s transparency and due process, with Sagamu remaining calm. Residents are urged to stay vigilant and report concerns.
