YIAGA Africa Seeks Stronger Partnership With Ekiti Police Ahead June 20 Gov Election

Ahead of the Ekiti State gubernatorial election scheduled for June 20, 2026, YIAGA Africa on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, to strengthen collaboration for a peaceful and credible poll.

The YIAGA Africa delegation commended the Ekiti State Police Command for its professionalism and commitment to electoral integrity in past engagements. 

They stressed the need for sustained synergy among stakeholders and called for increased police support as the election approaches.

Specifically, YIAGA Africa requested adequate security for election observers, electoral officials, and sensitive election materials to safeguard the credibility and safety of the process.

In his response, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael assured the organization of the Command’s full cooperation.

He reaffirmed the Police’s commitment to working with all relevant stakeholders and pledged to provide robust security before, during, and after the election to ensure a safe environment for voters and officials.

Both institutions reiterated their shared commitment to democratic governance and a peaceful, transparent, and credible gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.
