Oyo Assembly Candidate, Abiodun Babalola Urges Youth To Shun Political Apathy

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly candidate for Ibadan North East constituency 1, Hon (Engr) Abiodun Babalola has urged Nigerian youths to be more proactive and be an active participant in the democratic process of the country.

He stated this during a radio interview monitored by our correspondent on Impact Business Radio (IBR 92.5) and Aloore Radio, an online radio owned by the Oyo state ministry of information,Culture and Tourism in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State respectively.

The former caretaker chairman of the Ibadan East LCDA maintained that until people who has the love of the citizens  and fear of God get involve in the nation politics, the narrative might remain unchanged. 

He said, “We’ll continue to get the same results as no country can be better those who are ruling it”

Babalola, further congratulated the people of Oyo State for having a leader and government who love it citizens sincerely while describing Governor Seyi Makinde as a leader who is not discriminatory.

The young medical Engineer thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for giving him and some other youth the privilege to showcase their leadership abilities in different cabinets.

In his words “ His Excellency Engr Oluseyi Makinde has raised the bar of leadership in Oyo state and he has shown to the world that leadership is by experience, his administration has the highest numbers of proactive youths who are also performing wonderfully well and I want to believe he will involve more youths by God’s grace in his second tenure. 

He, however, urged the people of the state to continue to support Governor Seyi Makinde in his second term bid in order for the state to attain greater heights.

The former caretaker chairman while giving  the account of his stewardship in office as the caretaker chairman, maintained that his administration performed brilliantly in education, provision of infrastructural facilities, health care services, youth empowerment within the short period of his stay in office.

He, however, called for more support for his aspiration in his bid to to represent the good people of Ibadan North East constituency 1 in the 2023 general election. 

He further promised to perform well if elected as a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly in the 2023 general election.
