… Former One Exit

The newly appointed Commander of the Amotekun Security Network for the Ekiti State Command, Brigadier General Ibukun Olu Adewa retired has assumed office just as the former one, Brigadier General Joe Akomolafe retired also exited office on Tuesday at the State Headquarters of the Command located at the popular Trade Fair Complex in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital as he appeals for time for him to study the hand over note.
Speaking with the Treasure Newspaper in his new office after receiving his handing over notes, Brigadier General Ibukun Olu Adewa, the new Ekiti State Amotekun Corps who commended the media for supporting his predecessor in office, also pleaded for further support from them.
He described his appointment cum assumption of office as
a memorable one for him in the history of Ekiti, his home State.
According to him, he said, “With God on his side, he will build on what the Pioneer Commander has done”.
“He however used the opportunity to seek the cooperation of all the ranks and files of the Ekiti Amotekun Command, for him to forge ahead and ensure that he recorded new successes”.
The new Amotekun Corps Commander, Brigadier General Adewa appealed to the Journalists in Ekiti State to give him time to study his handing over notes, after which he will be able to address a press conference.
He added that “being a new man in the saddle, journalists should give me time to study situations on the ground. After studying the ground, we will have a press conference and from there, we will be able to forge ahead”, he ended.
Also, speaking with the pioneer Commander of the Ekiti Amotekun Security Corps, Brigadier General Joe Akomolafe, he appreciated the officers of the Command
for cooperating with him to be able to resolve all the teething challenges faced by him as the pioneer Commander in the State.
The exited Commander expressed his gratitude to the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for the opportunity given him to serve in the State. He also thanked the current Governor of the State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji who gave him all the necessary support since he came on board as the Governor of the State.
He expressed his confidence in the ability of the newly appointed Commander to add more value and improve on his own achievements while he was in office.
