Ekiti Govt Debunks Fake ₦25,000 Cash Transfer Message Linked to Gov Oyebanji

The general public is hereby informed of a false message currently in circulation claiming that the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, is disbursing ₦25,000 “Election Campaign Cash Transfer” funds via an online registration link.

The public is strongly advised NOT to click, share, or submit any personal information on this or any other unverified website or platform. 

According to ‘Dayo Apata, SAN, Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Ekiti State, unless such information is released through the Governor’s official communication channels or authorized Ekiti State Government agencies, it should be regarded as FALSE, FRAUDULENT, and a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the Governor.

We urge everyone to disregard this fake publication and to verify all information only through official Ekiti State Government sources before taking action.

Please note that cybercrime laws and other relevant statutes are in force. The Police have commenced investigations to trace the source of this misinformation and ensure those responsible are prosecuted.
