Progressive Youth Ambassadors Stage Mega Rally for Oyebanji, Tinubu in Ekiti

Members of the Progressive Youth Ambassadors, PYA, in Ekiti State have staged a mega rally in support of the second-term bid of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 forthcoming elections.

The rally commenced with a courtesy visit to the Ewi’s Palace before members moved through the Kings Market and other major parts of Ado Ekiti, engaging residents in grassroots mobilisation and canvassing support for the APC candidates. The colourful procession later terminated at the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti.

Addressing the group, the Director-General, Community Communications, Hon. Mrs Mary Oso Omotosho, commended the association for what she described as impressive grassroots engagement and selfless mobilisation without external sponsorship. 

She noted that the commitment of the group reflected growing public support for the Oyebanji administration.

Mrs Oso maintained that Governor Oyebanji’s re-election remained non-negotiable, stressing that the ongoing mobilisation drive was aimed at delivering over five hundred thousand votes for Governor Oyebanji and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ekiti State. 

She added that no previous Nigerian President had demonstrated as much commitment to Ekiti State as President Tinubu.

The DG further urged members of the association to sustain their grassroots campaigns and continue sensitising residents on the achievements of both the Federal and State Governments. 

She emphasized the need for unity among party supporters to ensure overwhelming victory for the APC candidates.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Ekiti State Leader, Ambassador Adefunke Adeigba and the National President, Ambassador David Kayode, appreciated the Ekiti State Government for the warm reception accorded members drawn from the Sixteen local government of the state and Visiting Members of PYA from Lagos, Ogun and Osun states.

Also, speaking, the Chairman of Eka Meta, Hon. Leye Adeniji, expressed support for the movement, describing the initiative as a commendable platform for progressive mobilisation ahead of the elections.
