Shettima to Represent Tinubu at EFCC Ekiti Zonal Office Opening June 9

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is set to commission its new Ekiti Zonal Directorate on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. 

The ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM at the newly built EFCC office located at KM 3, Old Iyin Road, opposite the Trade Fair Complex, Ado-Ekiti.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, will attend as Special Guest of Honour. He will also stand in for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the event.

According to the EFCC, the establishment of the zonal directorate is aimed at decentralizing its operations. The commission says the move will shorten response times and make anti-corruption services more accessible to residents of Ekiti and nearby states.

The commissioning is expected to draw top government officials, heads of security agencies, traditional rulers, and other key stakeholders from across the state.
