All is now set for the University of Benin in Edo State to host the maiden Registry Lecture Series tomorrow Thursday at the Ugbowo campus of the Institution in Benin City.

The above was contained in the details made available to Treasure Newspaper on Wednesday morning by the Registrar of the University of Benin, UNIBEN, Mr. Ademola Abimbola Bobola who is going to be the host for the event.
According to the details, Mr. Ademola Abimbola Bobola revealed that the Maiden Registry Lecture Series’ is titled “University – Community Engagement: Perspective From The Nigerian Society And Media”, will feature activities such as the Special Recognitions and Awards as well as the Unveiling of a book on Administrative Practices.
The renowned UNIBEN Administrator added that the event dated Thursday, 15th of May, 2025 will start by exactly 11:00 am at Akin Deko Auditorium, Ugbowo Campus of the Institution while the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Edoba Omoregie, SAN, will be the Chief Host.
Some of the dignitaries being expected at the maiden event is the popular TVC Journalist Handout Analyst and the Director, Current Affairs of the TVC News, Mr Babajide Kolade Otitoju who has been invited as the Guest Speaker; while the Vice Chancellor, Kogi State University in Kabba, Professor K.I.T. Eniola will be the Book Reviewer at the maiden event.

Also, a Director in the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Prince Isola Akingbade who hails from Ekiti State will be honoured along with four others for their outstanding leadership qualities in service to the public sector and humanity generally.
The other four includes Rt Honourable Blessing Aghebaku, the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly; Honourable Ogbuefi Chukwudi Safe, member of the Delta State House of Assembly; Chief (Dr) Abu Inu-Umoru, the CEO/Executive Chairman, Setraco Nigeria Limited and Chief Columbus Chukwu, the Chief Executive Officer, Chico Trust Venture Nigeria Limited.
During the event, three past substantive Registrars namely: Chief Mrs M.N.N Idehen (1996-2003); Mrs Gladys O. Ogboghodo (2010-2015) and Mrs Otasowie A Oshodin (2015-2020) and three in Acting capacities were as follows: Lady Celeria M. Ojomoyela (2007-2009); Chief Mrs Roseline A. Egborge (2009-2010) and Mr Clarkson I. Ebigiator (2020-2021).
