The Ogun State Police Command has commenced intensive rescue operations following the abduction of students from a private hostel in Ipara on Wednesday night, July 29, 2026.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Command received a distress call over the incident and immediately activated a coordinated response with other security agencies.
Tactical teams and intelligence assets have been deployed to Ipara and surrounding areas, with operations ongoing to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and arrest of the perpetrators.
The Command appealed to parents, students, and residents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information that could jeopardize the rescue efforts.
