Akwa Ibom Governor, Umo Eno Joins APC

The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno has officially joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, promising to stick to his own values and principles.

Umo Eno announced his intention to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday morning, to enable him support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his 2027 second term ambition. 

He said he will no longer be viewed as eloping with the APC in the night and with the PDP in the day or seen as doing anti party activities. 

With Governor Umo Eno defection from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC,  makes it the second PDP Governor to do so within the space of three months. 

The first was the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori.
