The third Bishop of the Diocese of the Ekiti West Anglican Communion, The Rt. Reverend (Dr) Cornelius Oluwadare Adagbada (PhD) has taken over as the new Bishop of the Ekiti West Diocese of the Anglican Church at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Ijero Ekiti local government area of Ekiti State.
The statement was issued and signed on Sunday by Prince Sola Adetule, at the Cathedral Church of Christ in Ijero Ekiti in Ekiti State.
Speaking at his inaugural sermon at a well attended ceremony of who-is-who from far and near, Bishop Adagbada challenged Nigerian leaders to give priorities to the welfare of their citizens.

According to the Bishop, he said, “Nigerians are facing hard times in all ramifications particularly in the areas of social infrastructures such as good motorable roads, stable and regular electricity, lack of employment opportunities for the highly populated youths of the Country as well as the embarrassing and alarming rate of insecurities across the nation and the very high living standard of the prices of cooking gas, Kerosene and Diesel, even staple foodstuffs have become outside the reach of the ordinary people in the streets.
In his advise to all the Christians, Bishop Adagbada warned Christians to discard all acts not expected of them as Christians. He added that, as Christians, “You must not compromise sincerity of purpose at all times. He counselled them to be devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ always as individual charismatic was not relevant before God”.
He also enjoined all the members of the Diocese to work for God and not mixing light with darkness and ensured they make somebody happy daily.

Bishop Adagbada equally appealed for love and cooperation with one and another always.
The enthronement of the Third Bishop was graced by cream of personalities from all walks of life including the First Bishop of the Diocese, Rtd Bishop Oludare Oke; the Chancellor of the Diocese, Hon. Justice Toyin Abodunde; Diocesan Registrar, Barrister Ajayi; Alaaye of Efon kingdom, Oba Adesanya Aladejare; Ajero of ljero kingdom, Oba Adewole Adebayo and Chief Bayo Adeniran among many Bishops across Nigeria and a host of others.
Bishop Adagbada is a native of Oke-Oro in Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Until his enthronement and inauguration as Bishop of Ekiti West Diocese, he was the Bishop of Oke-Ogun Diocese of Anglican Communion.
