Governors, NASS Leaders, Party Chiefs Set For BAO Mega 2026 Rally April 27th

Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital will be the center of political attention on Monday, April 27, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) officially flags off Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s re-election bid ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
The flag-off, slated for 10:00 a.m. at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, is projected to be one of the state’s biggest political gatherings in recent years.
According to a press statement signed by Rt Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun, the Director, Media and Communications, BAO Campaign Organization, said, “the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will lead the party’s National Working Committee to the event”.
He will be joined by APC governors from all six geopolitical zones under the Progressives Governors’ Forum.
Principal officers of the National Assembly, including Senators and House of Representative members from Ekiti and other states, have also confirmed attendance.
Former Ekiti governors, party elders, women and youth leaders, business figures, and community stakeholders from the 16 LGAs are also being expected.
The Ekiti State House of Assembly, the State’s National Assembly Caucus, and various support groups are already mobilizing their supporters.
Party leaders describe the flag-off as more than a rally. It is being framed as a show of unity and confidence in Oyebanji’s administration, following months of endorsements and what the APC calls visible progress across key sectors.
The APC says security and traffic measures have been put in place for the event. The flag-off will be air live on NTA, EKTV, and major FM stations, and stream live on BAO 2026 social media platforms.
“Monday is not just about the flag-off; it is a moment for Ekiti people to show their support and appreciation,” said campaign DG, Senator Cyril Fasuyi, as quoted in the statement released by Rt Hon Taiwo Olatunbosun.
