Persons with disabilities across selected communities in Ekiti Central Senatorial District just got a significant lift through a training and empowerment programme led by Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB).
The initiative, put together by the Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research (NIOMR), Lagos, focused on practical skills acquisition, financial grants, and distribution of empowerment items aimed at boosting self-reliance and economic inclusion.
Hon. Gbenga Banji, Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Bamidele, opened the programme and restated the Senate Leader’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups through interventions that create real opportunities.
