Ekiti NLC Chair Hails Oyebanji’s Constitution Of Minimum Wage Negotiation Committee

… Says Labour Will appreciate 100% implementation

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Ekiti State, Pharmacist Kolapo Olatunde has hailed the decision of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for constituting the Minimum Wage Negotiation Committee despite the fact that the National Document on the new minimum wage of N70,000 newly approved for the Nigerian workers is yet to be released by the Federal government. 

The Ekiti Labour leader however added, that the labour will appreciate 100% implementation of the minimum wage.

The bill has already been passed by the two arms of the National Assembly in Abuja, and signed into law by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Earlier before speaking with the Ekiti State NLC State Chairman, Pharmacist Kolapo Olatunde, the lists for the Ekiti State New Minimum Wage Negotiation Committee was made public in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Ekiti State Governor in person of Mr Yinka Oyebode, where he stated that the composition of the 13-members Negotiation Committee raised by the Ekiti State government comprised the following:

2. ⁠Mr Akintunde Oyebode – Commissioner for Finance- Member

4. ⁠Mrs Titilayo Olayinka – Accountant General / PS – Member 

5. ⁠Mr Bamise Sunday Julius – PS Ministry of Justice – Member
