EKSG Appoints New Tutors-General As TESCOM Chairman Congratulate Beneficiaries

The Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency Dr. John Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of new Tutors-General (TG) into the State Teaching Service Commission just as the Chairman of the TESCOM, Honourable Mrs Fola Richie Adewusi congratulated the two beneficiaries. 

The Tutors-General are for the Ekiti North and Ekiti South Senatorial Districts where two officials just retired.

The appointment which takes immediate effect has Mrs. Adesola Ogunkorode as the Tutor-General for Ekiti North while Mrs. Omowumi Adewumi as the Tutor-General for Ekiti South.

Until their respective appointments, Mrs. Ogunkorode was the Principal of Ijanmodu Grammar School, Ijan-Ekiti while Mrs. Adewumi was the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics department (DPR&S) of TESCOM.

While congratulating the new appointees, the Chairman Teaching Service Commission, Hon. Mrs Fola Richie Adewusi enjoined them to brace up for the challenges ahead of them in this position of higher responsibility. She charged them to continue to key into the educational development agenda and Values Orientation of the present administration.

She emphasized that their elevation was in line with the principle of merit based appointment enshrined in the State Civil Service Transformation Strategy as well as previous performance and in recognition of seniority.

Finally, she expressed the appreciation of the Commission to the two Tutors-General who retired recently Mrs Rhoda Ojo and Mr Kehinde Isinkaye.

Earlier in his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Mr Michael Omolayo lauded the State Governor for the appointment describing it as merit based and track of appointment to justify the confidence reposed in them.

He noted that the appointment is a call to service, opportunity to work harder than ever before and be loyal to the government of the day.
